Jeremy Sarchet from WorldViz will be hosting us on a tour of the company and show us VR demos.

Due to the limited attendance we will open this to PAID local chapter members only. They will get the evite in January to sign up. We will then take the first 20 that sign up.

Jeremy will give a talk on WorldViz and 3rd party VR technology, focusing on application development in Vizard, and featuring an under-the-hood look at the creation of a simple application. There will be demonstrations of WorldViz’ wide-area-walking Head-Mounted-Display system, and Corner CAVE system for all in attendance.

WorldViz provides tools for professional Virtual Reality. With Vizard, their own interactive VR (Virtual Reality) content creation software platform, and with PPT, a real-time, wide-area, motion-tracking product series, they stand out as unique in the industry. Vizard is a powerful, versatile, and streamlined VR engine with development that spans over two decades. With principal office in Santa Barbara, CA, WorldViz began selling their tools commercially in 2002, and has been a leader in professional Virtual Reality ever since. Bio

Jeremy Sarchet is a WorldViz developer, with a keen interest in computer graphics, and a professional focus on VR tools and applications.

A portion of Jeremy\'s development resources are dedicated to custom client work. He has been involved in numerous projects with WorldViz clients in diverse industries such as architecture, academic research, aerospace, visualization, marketing, and training. Jeremy came to WorldViz in 2011 upon completing a Bachelor\'s in Physics from UC Santa Barbara. He lives with his wife and works at the WorldViz Redwood City Satellite Office.
